summing it up

Noah listened to everything his brother said about Lex's idea.

"No way am I going!" He was smoking a cigarette and stompping about in the cool autumn air out back.

Noah stared out into the beautiful trees. So many colors. So beautiful and majestic. It was so peaceful here. Except for the bickering between Lex and Jonah.

"You should listen to her." He nodded. "She make sense, Jo."

"What!" He winced what seemed indefinitely.

"We'll be fine." Noah hugged himself. "I, well..we've been offered a little apartment over the beauty shop. She offered it to me as soon as I took the job. Its dirt cheap, but its do-able."

"Why didn't you say anything?" Jonah looked completely a wreck now.

"I dunno," Noah grinned. "I just thought you wanted to be in charge."

Jonah sighed heavily.

"God, I don't know what to do." Jonah took a long draw off his cigarette.

"Its you who can't stop running. You have to. You do." Noah was certain."Who knows, maybe we'll all be home by Christmas."

"Thanks, bro, you're really giving me so to think about. Its just, no car, what if you need a car?" Noah looked at him.

"I can't think of a reason why we would need a car." Noah smiled. Everything he needed was right there in town. And there was Josie. She was like his beacon. He'd go where ever she lead him.
